Markus Bergsteiger brings the authentic atmosphere of Southern German and Tyrolean music to every event. With years of experience as a solo artist, and as the lead singer of the band Tiroler Luft since July 2025, Markus knows how to turn every performance into a lively, high-energy celebration.
German-language music runs as the thread through all of his shows. With his authentic Tyrolean look, infectious enthusiasm and impressive yodelling skills, he creates atmosphere, fun and a guaranteed party.
Under the motto “Vollgas Party auf der Bühne”, Markus transforms every venue or party tent into a vibrant celebration, both at home and abroad.
Where it all started
At eighteen years old, Markus stepped into the entertainment world. He started as a party DJ at après-ski events and various other parties and events. Before long, he was also working as a radio DJ, presenter, sound engineer, voice-over artist and street theatre performer.
The career switch
Instead of spinning songs, the time had come to start singing them. Under the stage name "Die Kale", a first single was carefully released. When it caught on, the decision was made to release more singles, this time under the name Marco Carolus. These tracks can all still be found on Spotify and other music streaming services.

After ten years as a Dutch-language artist, it was time for something new. Markus decided to follow his heart and head fully in the Bavarian and Tyrolean direction. This is the music he grew up with from a young age. The audience response was glowing. The first single "Ich Bin Wie Du" is already available on Spotify and other streaming services, with much more music on the way very soon. Markus currently has a rich repertoire of both contemporary and classic German-language music.

In 2025, Markus celebrated thirty-five years in the business. With four national awards on the wall, an album full of released songs, and the long list of bookings already to his name, he can look back on a fantastic career that is still far from over.
